The Harding is a modern Helle classic, famed for its contrast of light and dark handle materials and highly polished drop-point blade. Celebrating its 40th anniversary - its Ruby jubilee - the 2026 limited edition honours the original design by Erling Opstad.
The Harding Rubin (rubin means “ruby” in Norwegian) brings bold updates. Ruby-coloured leather and sheath stitching mark the anniversary and add striking visibility. The handle has been redesigned with extra layers, enhancing complexity and visual appeal.
A highlight is spalted beech from 1986, the year the first Harding was made. This fungus-altered wood forms unique patterns, stabilised and paired with newer, stabilised beech (Kebony) to create a balanced, intricate handle. The result respects the original while offering a fresh, visually rich interpretation, perfectly complementing the highly polished H3LS blade.
